Full-time position on a Challenger 604

Well, after three years of contracting in private aviation I finally landed a full-time position on a Challenger 604 :-)
It's both part 91 and 135 which is something that I've always wanted to do. I started in October 2012 and so far I love my job! This is the best job anyone could ask for.
The holidays are about to get in full swing, so it's going to be busy busy busy and I'm very excited!
Happy Thanksgiving and happy flying everyone!

Yacht Stewardess added!

The new year has started with full swing...I got my STCW'95 training to become a stewardess on private yachts. I will also be using my massage and esthetician certificates on board. I already booked my first gig on board a 116ft motor yacht in the Bahamas for 9 days as a massage therapist! I'm very excited! Now I have both luxury travel worlds covered (private planes and private yachts) and I absolutely love it!

Summer Time!!!

It's that time of year again when things begin to slow down in corporate aviation. I've decided to go back to school to get my Skin Care license. Then I'm also going to do the Yacht training course....as always, I continue to add to my skill set so that I can be much more marketable in the luxury travel industry.
Have a great summer everyone!!!

Burr...it's cold in NJ

I booked a 3-day trip to TEB with this new company and I'm excited! This is my 2nd time flying with them. Looks like things are picking up because I also booked another trip for tomorrow with this company I've been corresponding with.
I'm definitely excited to be going back to my 82 degree weather in Sunny South Florida though, lol. Happy flying!

End of 2010 (What a great year!)

My how time flies...it's been a very busy and exciting year for me. I graduated from massage therapy school and passed my board exam, yippie! Now I am going to focus on marketing myself with my newly added skill and hope to grow my resume. I wish everyone an enjoyable holiday season and happy new year!

I am always adding to my resume

I've decided to go to massage school as work has slowed down a bit. I believe this will be an extra skill/talent that I can bring to the table when I work as a flight attendant. Passengers can enjoy a relaxing in-flight massage, courtesy of yours truly. I strive to be the best in everything I do and I know that my passengers will appreciate and enjoy this additional service.
I graduate in December; I am very excited and looking forward to adding this service to my resume;
Happy Summer, 2010!!!

FACTS Training

I finally decided to get FACTS training (http://www.factstraining.com) in order to get more job opportunities. FACTS is the #1 recognized and accepted training program in corporate/business aviation. I am very excited about the training this week and what the future has to offer! I have already made some key contacts who require FACTS training in order to work for them; so I will be following up with them as soon as my training is done. I have a possible interview with a large charter company in Burbank, CA this weekend so I am looking forward to that.
On a side note, my birthday is in two days and I am happy to be alive and to be celebrating life ;-)

Happy Flying

Last minute trip to Las Vegas!!!

When I say that I am available for trips on short notice, I mean it. Strategic Air, called me this morning at 8am to be ready for a trip to Las Vegas at 10:30am and I did it!!! Talk about being able to go with the flow, lol. Well I'm all settled in my room and flying back tomorrow...too bad this trip didn't last the whole weekend, Vegas would definitely be fun for Halloween. But no worries here, South Beach is just as fun and I'm going to be getting together with some friends in our wonderful costumes, can't wait.
Happy Halloween everyone!

"Think like a Champion" by the Donald...a good read

Well guys, while I've been on my 3 day trip, I managed to get some reading in and finished Donald's book "Think like a champion". It was a very good read and I'm glad I read it because it actually offered me some guidance. You see, I'm one of those people that has a very strong drive and loves to multi-task. I can't just do one thing and so when it came to my career, I decided that I didn't have that ONE thing that I wanted to do, I'm very interested in a variety of things: graphics design (check out my website: www.721design.com), marketing, event planning, corporate travel, fashion, etc. Even though people always say that you should master one thing, I want to master them all and so I decided that I would do one after the other and see which one I liked best because I have been having trouble picking just one.
Reading this book helped me see that I was right on, you have to love what you do in order to succeed extremely and that's what I see for myself. I love being a corporate flight attendant amongst other things and so I know that life has a lot store for me for the future. I'm very excited to LIVE it all out!

3 day trip!!!

Well, it was pretty slow last month (Sept, 09) and I was wondering what was going on, geesh! I know the economy is bad but I know people are still flying private, lol. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call from Strategic Air (company that gave me my first booking), to tell me that I had a confirmed 3 day (possibly 4) trip up north....I have to say, I'm excited!!!
Now the only thing is that the weather is pretty cold up north right now compared to the 91 degree weather we are having today, ha ha, but it's all in a day's work right? I had to go to my attic and get out my winter coat...I'm actually kinda glad it's cold because I bought that coat last winter but never really got to wear it so now I can actually model my new coat and strut my stuff at the airport, yay me! Now off to pack!

On a side note: I joined a fabulous gym here in South Beach (David Barton Gym at the Gansevoort Hotel); those who know me know that I like to stay active, I have been playing soccer as usual and doing my work out dvd's but I decided to shake things up for the season. I'm looking forward to the holiday season and I have to stay lean and trim since there will be tons of food! :-)

Busy Weekend

I had a very good weekend...I went to Atlanta on friday (8/14/09) to visit some friends and then on Sunday it was off to Cleveland to pick up the plane and head back to Maine to pick up the passengers. Did I mention that I was requested back because the company that hired me liked my services??? Awesome!!!
It was a long day on Monday but I had a blast doing it, I love my job!!!
Now I'm just looking forward to the next flight....

My first flight as a corporate flight attendant

Boy was I nervous!!!

I received a call around 12 noonish on 08/07/09 from Don of Strategic Air. He wanted me to be at the hanger (in Fort Lauderdale) by 2pm. Thank God for my flexible schedule...I was excited and nervous at the same time. My first flight only 2 weeks after my training; I really didn't expect any jobs until the end of August but I guess my hard work paid off. After getting off the phone with Don, I get a call from Mary Lou of Beyond and Above (where I got my training), she said she had recommended me for the job and I thanked her profusely.
I arrive at the hanger on time, we walk through the plane and I familiarize myself with all the bells and whistles, it was a Gulfstream - GII. I meet the pilots who were super nice, we fly to opa locka airport (Miami) to pick up the passengers. There I meet Madora (in charge of special services at the opa locka executive airport) who was so nice and helpful, she helped me feel at ease and told me "you are in charge", that helped a lot. The passengers get there, I greet them and we're off to Portland, ME. Everything flowed smoothly, I was no longer nervous once the passengers got on board, they were happy and I was thrilled.
Well my first day is completed....on to the rest of my travels. Happy Travels everyone!
